PLANNING OF CASE CLOSED (general information and audience)

My group and i planned the movie film we made, "case closed". This is the general information and audience we planned for our film.

Production Company Logo Design

Group Logo Design Image and Text: Insert Photo Here

(See image below on next page)

Short description of logo composition: Include the meaning of the image, the color selection, the choice of text, and how does it represent the production company name:

Description: I wanted to make the logo very bold and to stand out with a rocket at the end. I think the logo creates boldness and shows an established name. It presents the production company name in the title card to show where the film is being produced. Making the logo bold makes it stand out and recognizable so people will want to see more from the company if they like what they see in the film.

Audience Demographics:  Age, race, gender, social status, economic status, culture, etc.

Teens and older teens, all genders could engage in this, social status of audience would be anyone in highschool because all highschool kids have to experience the traumatic events this generation has had to witness, middle class people would appreciate the film (being set in a public highschool), anyone of any culture would enjoy this film (especially asian cultures because of the asian american main character).

Audience Psychographics:  Attitude, interests, lifestyles, beliefs/values, and personality.

Audiences who like horror, thriller, drama, and mystery films would enjoy this film opening. People who like blood and gore in their films and people who like the morals of good vs evil would also want to see this.

Based on your research of the genre (s) for your film, does your film have a niche or mainstream audience? Explain and document research to support your answer.

The film has a pretty mainstream audience but the way it is filmed takes an indie approach so it could appeal to both mainstream audiences and smaller target audiences. Horror/thriller movies are very mainstream and have similar genre conventions, for example, most of these films begin with the death of a character leading the audience to suspect who that might be which also makes those movies mystery themed which adds a level of suspense. There are different kinds of horror/thriller films whether it be a slasher or a psychological thriller, they all follow most mainstream genre conventions of those categories. Our film has gore and suspense but the camera work feels like a weird indie film so it doesn’t visually look mainstream but the elements which make up the story are inspired by mainstream productions.

The conventions of a film opening include the production company, Name of the movie, all persons who were part of your film aka the credits and cast in the order they will be appearing in the movie. How many titles are present in your film's opening? List the number and document the titles.

There are three titles in the film: the title card, the names of the creators and the production company name. The title card appears at the end with the title of the film “Case Closed” and the names of the participants: Julianna S. Ayline R. Khampout P. and Austin S. are at the beginning of the film after the production company name: ‘Team Rocket’ appears on the screen.
