Planning film sound exercise (and case study of the giver)

 My group and I analyzed the film opening scene of the giver. A Drama/Sci-Fi film that is a bout a perfect world where everyone is assigned with something and the main character has different views about the world.  We identified the general information about the film, and The Save the Cat Beat Structure and the narrative of the film opening. The opening image, inciting incident, set up, and catalyst were all analyzed in the opening scene and were also explained.

The importance of memory 

Define continuity: The consistency in a film and keeping the changes constant throughout a film. For example, a character changes their look or receives something which stays consistent through the remainder of the film.

Film Opening Conventions: Document the conventions of a film opening. E.g., Production company, titles, etc.

Many conventions can be used to create a film opening. The most common being title sequences, flashbacks,and an establishing shot.

What is Exposition and list techniques used to establish the world of a film?

Exposition in a film is used to get ideas and explanations over to the audience
