Planning film sound exercise (and case study of the giver) (editing in film)

When analyzing the giver, my group and i were able to analyze the techniques used for editing, and audio edits. There were 16 cuts in the opening scene, we were able to identify what type of shots they were (like the stablishing shot or a three shot). Editing in film is important since it brings attention to a specific something so that the audience can focus on that important subject.
