Setting, Set design, and props preliminary exercise

 production design

Production design is the overall visual look of a production, can include props, and wardrobe. Production design is important because it sets a scene's mood, reflects state of a character, and articulates a stories' theme. Purpose of production design is to look at the overall of a production.

A setting is the time and place a narrative occurs in. The key elements that can help the audience identify the genre are the time it takes place in, the weather conditions, atmosphere. For example here I am able to identify that it's a superhero action movie since the setting is from height up and there is a man climbing a building.

A set design provides audience with context of a film. A prop is a property borrowed from a theater, or something that is used for action. This example helps me realize the prop is some magical rocks since they are shiny.
